124,477 signatures have been handed over to the Kosovo Prime-Minister

On July 17, 2018, the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology and with the other campaign partners has organized the handing over of the signatures collected for the Pledge for Common Action.

A group of students from different schools in Kosovo has handed over 124,477 signatures collected since 1 November 2017 to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Ramush Haradinaj.

The Pledge for Common Action was signed by students, parents, teachers, school directors and many other citizens of Kosovo and the main request is to make education a number one priority including an increased budget for the education sector. This budget will be transferred then in better quality in education, namely more teachers’ trainings, textbooks according to international standards, pre-school education, better involvement of students and parents, inclusion of ethnic minorities, returnees and all vulnerable groups.
